I used to make lifelong decisions
based on my confused feelings; I’d end up
digging holes I didn’t know how to get out
of on my own, then those holes would turn
into tunnels, and soon I’d get so lost
I had no sense of direction.

The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6 “trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths “

It took many years of falling
into the endless pits I dug for myself
to finally admit to myself I was lost
and Jesus Christ would be the only way
I would ever gain any sense of direction
back, without Him directing my life,
I might as well be dead,
and that’s speaking from experience.
