Don’t settle down in the past
going there and living there
can be an actual mood killer;
it’ll make you feel as if you’ve never left
or that you belong there if you allow
those emotions to resurface.
You may never forget those times, and some
memories might keep you up at night,
but tread carefully, the days when you are
at your best, will be the days when those
reminders explode like fireworks,
and the past will show up with a vengeance.
