I can’t be who you want me to
become; it wouldn’t be fair to you,
or me; I could never satisfy you, and
I’m not advertising that statement
to give you props.
All my faults are usually dragged back
into the spotlight after every little
conversation; you don’t seem to
understand what makes me unique
you’re never satisfied,
not even with yourself.
I’m glad things didn’t work out. It’s
a relief; things happen as they should
for a reason; it’s a liberating feeling
to walk away from a toxic relationship.
I am good enough! I am unique,
and that’s my greatest asset.
