Back In My Day

Back in my day, children had time to grow up
there was no rushing into adulthood
outside was the “hotspot;” back in my day,
disrespect came with a slap, and TV was more of
a treat and not an all-day ice cream sundae.

  1. So true, this is the day and age we live in.But they need to get back to childhood as WE knew it,the innocence ,the fun, basking in the ambiance of playing outdoors and soaking up that vitamin D.Love this piece also!!

    1. Many parents assume technology is living but it’s more of a trap. If we tell our kids no TV, or tablet, or phone they assume they must’ve done something wrong to have had that “privilege” revoked. Something is terribly wrong with that.
