Today I stepped back and inspected myself;
I wiped off all the make-up and took out
all the hair extensions then kicked off
my stilettos and cleaned off
all the nail polish from my fingers and toes.
It got real today! I haven’t seen
my true self in a while; I am beautiful,
I didn’t realize how pretty
my natural hair was; I had a long
positive talk with myself
I needed this confidence boost.
