Wars With Self

I am
my biggest enemy.
I fight myself
more than anything.
I’ve been in more battles
than all the soldiers
in all the wars combined.

  1. and there is all the poetry ammunition needed to create wonderful things. you draw from it and die a little each time you open another wound to write. we wouldn’t have it any other way.


    1. (smiles) Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose. I win when I’m not too critical of myself but I lose when I overthink everything. Another way to look at it too, I am also my biggest motivator/cheerleader.
