Looking Up From Rock Bottom

Sitting at rock bottom
looking up at
the sky,
the moon,
and the stars.

Not sure why the sky is so bright
when everything
seems so gloomy and gray
down where I’m at.

I’ve got all these questions,
all these voices
burning fires in my head.
24/7
My emotions are flaring out of control,
I cannot seem to catch a single blessing.

My home resembles a lion’s den,
and I think I’m about to get eaten alive.

  1. Let go and let God guide you. Let Him have authority over your life He will not lead you astray. Trust and believe in Him. The impossible is always possible and you can overcome any obstacle. =)

    1. I know that more than anything else now. God is awesome and I am thankful for all the blessings in my life. Stay positive, stay strong and thanks for your encouraging words of wisdom.

    1. Thank you. Yes, and it’s down at rock bottom when we feel tested to the point of breaking and giving up…faith, a must have. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Love the title–really grabs you right from the start. Even before launching into the poem I was thinking about how so often you think you’ve hit rock bottom only to drop a few feet further. But we’re never out of His reach. As David says, “If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there.” (Ps. 139:8) Thanks so much for following my blog and have a blessed day! 🙂
